Wondering if you should order from Venus.com? Don't.
I recently placed an order from Venus.com and, well, let's just say it sucked. It was frustrating, aggravating and the customer service was horrendous. My bad....I should have researched and read all the reviews BEFORE placing my order because there are so many similar stories to my own. From lying about shipping to overcharging my card...it was a shit show from the start to what I hope is almost the finish. I'll be writing about my experience here and invite others to share their Venus.com stories as well.

My saga with www.venus.com continues. Returned items WEEKS ago....still no refund (not even a refund minus the shipping that they charge you for returns!). Contacted the company. "oh yeah....looks like the returns department messed up" (yes, this is a direct quote...insert rolling eyes here). Let's see how long it takes to get my money back now. Or IF I'll get it back. www.venus.com really does suck.
ReplyDeleteI cannot warn people enough about doing business with this company. It started out as an issue with an order....as in the order didn't show up. Said it was shipped but they do that so it looks like it's on it's way. They initiate the shipping label so it appears as though it's been shipped on time but then the tracking never updates and they blame it on the shipping company. Lie #1. Then when you call them out on it, they claim that what you ordered has been out of stock and they will ship when back in stock (yep...that item that they claim has been shipped...but couldn't have if it's been backordered...) Lie #2. I pushed this issue and miraculously they apparently found one because they promised it would be shipped out overnight at their expense so it would arrive before leaving for a trip (which is why it was ordered to begin with. Several weeks in advance I might add). That was Lie #3. Because it didn't arrive the next day. Didn't even arrive the next week. And get this....I was CHARGED AGAIN for the order!!! So now I've double paid for an order that didn't even arrive in time after being told repeatedly it would be. Onto the next chapter ... I returned the items for a refund. Items are confirmed as being received by Venus. Andddd....crickets. No refund issued. They have their items back. I don't have my money back. So I initiate a live chat and ask for an update. "Oops...everything is back but someone in the returns dept. didn't initiate your refund. So sorry. Doing that right now and it will be credited back to your credit card within 72 hours. Lie #4. I check back in again a week or so after the 72 hours had passed. "Oops...yes, I see the return and it appears as though they have given you a store credit" I DON'T WANT A STORE CREDIT!!! I want my money back. "So sorry...I will do that for you right now. You will see the credit to your credit card within 72 hours." You guessed it....Lie #5. Sooooo over another week has passed and still no credit. I just checked in with them again and (you're really not going to believe this) "Oops...yes, I see the return and it appears as though they have given you a store credit" ARE YOU F'ING KIDDING ME!? I go through it all again and pretty much tell the rep that I don't believe her, that I have been told that lie before and that I want my refund NOW. You ready for this? SHE HUNG UP! I would NEVER order from them again and I will not back down until I have my money... MY MONEY...back. They have their crappy products back from me. I want my money back. There are so many other more reputable, dependable and TRUSTWORTHY companies out there that deserve the business. Companies that don't LIE....over and over and over again.
